Kitsbow
Kitsbow Cycling Apparel hosted open calls for film grants called ‘36 Hours in Kitsbow’, in which cyclists would complete a film project in the span of time of a weekend - proving that adventure and meaning is within reach. Working with Everett Ó Cíllin, we proposed a film in which we would cycle the route of a famous Gold Rush Era stagecoach driver, Charley Parkhurst, who lived and died in Santa Cruz County. Upon death it was revealed that Charley was born female, but lived their life as a man. As transgender filmmakers, we sought to recast and honor Charley's life in a new light.
Our partnership with Kitsbow continued when we had the opportunity to create content for the launch of a special edition denim shirt.
